Nutra operators and their playbooks

Brazilian nutra operators: who's who among the marketers selling supplements with VSLs

A large share of the supplement VSL offers sold in the US and Europe are built or bought by Brazilian teams. This is a who's who of the operators who have described their work in public, why so many Brazilians are in nutra, and the patterns their playbooks share.

Brazilian nutra operators are affiliates, offer owners, copywriters and media buyers based in Brazil, or from Brazil, who sell dietary supplements with VSLs, mostly in the US and increasingly in Europe. The names below have described their methods in public interviews. Many learned as affiliates, several moved on to their own offers, and they share a playbook built on cheap tests, format-first creatives and a strong back end.

The profiles draw on interviews the operators gave, most of them on Brazilian direct-response podcasts, and on their own sites where they have one. Revenue figures they quoted are left out.

Why so many Brazilians sell nutra abroad

Three reasons come up again and again in their interviews.

Currency and ticket size. Operators earn in dollars or euros while running teams in Brazil. And the average order is bigger abroad: Filipe Santana estimated that both the cost to validate an offer and the average ticket run about three times higher in the US than in Brazil.

The rules at home. Brazil's health regulator, ANVISA, separates supplements, herbal medicines and drugs, and several operators describe the Brazilian market as harder for nutra than the US.

An industry that came to them. Networks and suppliers now meet Brazilian sellers in São Paulo. The events page of ShipOffers, a US supplement fulfillment company, lists these (ShipOffers events):

The model itself is explained in the nutra marketing guide: ad, VSL, bundle order page, upsells and a back end, with affiliates paid per sale through networks such as ClickBank, Digistore24 and BuyGoods.

The operators profiled in depth

Guilherme Bifi

An affiliate from 2022 who negotiated CPA deals instead of revenue share, then became an offer owner with partners in 2024. He validates offers on email lists before paid traffic, treats format as more important than copy, runs many leads per offer and builds the profit into the back end with welcome calls and day-one offers. Read the Guilherme Bifi profile.

Gabriel Medeiros

A Brazilian media buyer in the US who became director of media buying at V Shred, growing the team from 6 to 20, and now describes himself as VP of Media Buying at Performance Golf (askgabe.co). Cold traffic as the engine, a lifetime-budget technique for strong days, and net loss per trial as the metric. Read the Gabriel Medeiros profile.

Rubens Araujo

A long corporate career in telecoms, then PLR offers in Brazil, Spanish-language offers in Latin America and the US market from late 2023; the interview presented his company, Tiger Offers, as a nutra operation in the US. His team ran ABO at high volume, and he says offers die faster than most owners plan for. Read the Rubens Araujo profile.

Paulo Sanches

A young copywriter who writes VSLs for health offers. He separates a VSL's structure from its argument, works with named mechanisms, and puts emotion first and logic second. Read the Paulo Sanches profile.

Filipe Santana

A producer who went from marketplace dropshipping to freelancing to building offers, including nutra offers in Brazil, and who has mapped the economics of the US market. Research-first products, a problem-then-solution argument and a simple proof ratio. Read the Filipe Santana profile.

Pedro Andrade

A direct-response traffic manager who started as an affiliate. He tests CBO and ABO on every offer, gives each creative its own campaign, sizes tests to the commission and finds a campaign's budget ceiling before calling it dead. Read the Pedro Andrade profile.

More Brazilian nutra operators to know

These operators have spoken publicly about their work, but in less detail, so the entries are short and stick to what they or their interviewers stated.

Arthur Pimentel Cordeiro (Arthur PC)

Introduced in a July 2025 podcast interview as the founder and CEO of Grupo SIP, selling nutraceuticals in the US market, and doing it without affiliates. That makes him an interesting contrast to most names here. An operation that runs its own media buying instead of an affiliate network keeps full control of the traffic, the claims and the margin, and also carries all of the ad spend and all of the risk itself.

Paulo Gulluzian

Described in an October 2025 podcast interview as having entered digital marketing at 17 and, three years later, selling nutraceuticals in Europe. Europe is the next market several Brazilian operators mention, and it brings its own rules: in the EU, nutrition and health claims on food are governed by Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006, with a public register listing authorised and non-authorised health claims, and claims that could mislead consumers are prohibited (European Commission).

The claim rules this page names, market by market:

This isn't legal advice.

Gabriela Lotto

Introduced in a January 2025 podcast interview as a digital marketer with more than eight years in international markets who works at ShipOffers, helping Brazilian entrepreneurs sell nutraceuticals in the US. Her company sits on the supply side of the model: ShipOffers lists more than 50 on-demand health and beauty products, custom formulation, and pick, pack and ship fulfillment for sellers (ShipOffers services).

Thiago Boeira

An affiliate focused on the US market through Google search ads. On his own site he presents himself as the leader of a large community of affiliates and offers the Comunidade Viver de Dólar, aimed at affiliates who want to earn in dollars with Google's Search Network (his site). His course page says he left a salaried job in 2020 to work online, and its US module covers strategies for Digistore24, BuyGoods and ClickBank, and other modules cover presell pages and conversion tracking (course page). A February 2025 podcast described his start in dropshipping before he became an affiliate. His model is a useful reminder that not all nutra traffic is Meta video: search affiliates catch buyers who are already looking for a product.

Thiago Lucena

Described in a May 2024 podcast interview as having entered digital marketing in 2020 and working as an affiliate for international markets. His story follows the most common path in this list: learning on other owners' offers abroad before anything else.

Gabriel Santiago

Described in a February 2026 podcast interview as having left a formal job to work in digital marketing. He now manages the acquisition channels and the affiliate program of a business called Astron. Affiliate management is a craft of its own in nutra: recruiting affiliates with real volume, setting payouts, policing compliance and protecting creatives from plagiarism.

Between them, these entries describe two ways to bring traffic to an offer:

Affiliates or your own media buying

Two ways to bring traffic to a nutra offer

Through affiliates

Affiliates buy the traffic and are paid per sale, through networks such as ClickBank, Digistore24 and BuyGoods.

  • Affiliates who reach volume push for a fixed payout per customer, which moves refund risk to the owner.
  • Affiliate management is a craft of its own: recruiting affiliates with real volume, setting payouts, policing compliance and protecting creatives from plagiarism.

Own media buying, no affiliates

The operation runs its own media buying instead of an affiliate network.

  • It keeps full control of the traffic, the claims and the margin.
  • It also carries all of the ad spend and all of the risk itself.

Bruno Bismaq

Introduced in an April 2026 podcast interview as head of copy at one of Brazil's large direct-response operations. The interview summary describes his view that research is the most critical step in VSL copy and an often neglected one, his habit of building mechanisms from market trends and from ingredients large brands already sell, and his use of what he calls superstructures: elements the audience already believes in, such as well-known ingredients or trends, that lower the persuasion load.

Elton Cipriano

Described in a May 2024 podcast interview as a copywriter who entered digital marketing at 15 and became known for building more sophisticated VSLs.

What their playbooks have in common

Read the interviews side by side and the same habits keep appearing.

  1. Affiliate work as the school. Bifi, Boeira, Lucena and Andrade all worked as affiliates on other people's offers. Bifi turned to it after his own first offers lost money, and Boeira after dropshipping.
  2. CPA economics. Affiliates who reach volume push for a fixed payout per customer, which moves refund risk to the owner and lets them buy traffic against a known number.
  3. Cheap tests before expensive ones. Email lists, organic short video and small, isolated paid tests come before scaling budgets.
  4. Format before copy. A proven message gets new packaging and new hooks long before anyone rewrites it.
  5. Many leads per VSL. The opening is the most tested part of the video, and winning ads get matching leads.
  6. The back end carries the profit. Welcome calls, upsells, subscriptions and reorders make a thin or negative front end work.
  7. Market hopping. Offers move from Brazil to Latin America, to the US and now to Europe, with the lead and proof rewritten for each market.
  8. Compliance as a scaling constraint. Networks review wording, ad platforms reject claims, and the operators who last adjust before they are forced to.

Two cautions sit alongside those habits. First, several operators described tactics this site won't teach because they deceive buyers or platforms, and the FTC has pursued fake news pages, fake testimonials and hidden subscription terms in supplement marketing for years; the VSL compliance guide covers the honest versions. Second, the back-end model only works with a product people want to reorder, which is why the operators with the longest careers talk as much about product and support as about ads.

Frequently asked questions

Who are the best-known Brazilian nutra operators?

There is no public ranking, but names that come up in interviews include Guilherme Bifi, Rubens Araujo, Arthur Pimentel Cordeiro, Filipe Santana and Paulo Gulluzian on the operator side, Paulo Sanches, Bruno Bismaq and Elton Cipriano as copywriters, Pedro Andrade and Gabriel Medeiros on media buying, and Gabriela Lotto on the supply side.

Why do Brazilians sell supplements in the US?

They earn in dollars while running teams in Brazil, average orders in the US are much higher than at home, and the supplement networks and fulfillment companies actively recruit Brazilian sellers, including at events in São Paulo. Several operators also describe Brazil's own rules on supplements and herbal medicines as harder to work with.

Which platforms do Brazilian nutra affiliates use?

The networks named most often are ClickBank, Digistore24 and BuyGoods, which track sales and pay affiliates for supplement offers sold in the US. Traffic usually comes from Meta, YouTube and Google search. Some operators sell without affiliates, running their own media buying, and fulfillment is often handled by specialist supplement fulfillment companies.

Is it legal for a Brazilian to sell supplements in the US?

Selling into the US from abroad is common, but the US rules apply to the product and the ads: FDA labeling rules for supplements, the FTC's requirements for substantiated health claims and real testimonials, and state laws on subscriptions. Taxes and company structure are separate questions for an accountant. This isn't legal advice.

Where do Brazilian nutra operators meet?

Affiliate conferences are the main meeting points. ShipOffers lists the Afiliados Brasil conference in São Paulo, which it calls the largest affiliate marketing event in Latin America, plus São Paulo events with Digistore24 and BuyGoods. Brazilian operators also attend international events such as Affiliate World, where Guilherme Bifi says he decided to launch his own offers.
